Article on the Eiffel Tower in Winter Edition 2012

Evoking memories of a Paris holiday – Bastille day – in the rain: military congregating under the tower, strolling to the Champs-Elysees, huddling under an umbrella, watching the parade, cheers for the dog squad, followed by the French Foreign Legion singing as they marched, gleaming stainless axes over shoulders, jets flying past overhead. Unforgettable.

Linen and Tapestries in Autumn Edition 2012

“Pour Votre Maison, Linen and Tapestries” has provided me with a whole new avenue to travel along in quenching my insatiable thirst for traditional French linens, which I display not only in the traditional way but also unconventionally in frames and wall hangings throughout my home. The Montigny-le-Roi cushion covers from White Port would enhance the traditional classic blue and white theme I have created, thanks to magazines like French Provincial. Le Tour de France in June Edition 2011

Each year I view the world’s biggest annual sporting event – ‘Le Tour de France’ – and I am always intrigued by the splendour and gorgeous scenery as each rider races through each stage and destination of France. I immensely enjoyed the ‘Ten things you need to know’ by Jennie Sharpe – it was educational and pleasurable to read, providing me with a better understanding and appreciation of the race and, at the same time, the scenery.
