It wasn’t hard to fill in the ballroom of the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth with a creative crowd, politicians and media for this unique anniversary. The Tour de France is the 3rd biggest sport event after the Olympics and Football world cup, with 12 millions followers along the road of France.

The surprises of the evening were an emotional interview of Cadel Evans, and beautiful SBS images of the long lasting love story between the Tour de France and Australia. A staggering 2 millions Australians will wake up every single night of the Tour de France between 29 June and 21 July!
