Enter & Win a Garnier-Thiebaut tea towel…

In our Summer Edition, we invited you to tell us, in 50 words or less, a topic you would like to see featured in an upcoming edition. We received a great selection of suggested topics. The three most entertaining (below) have won a Garnier-Thiebaut tea towel from L’armoire de Sophie. Congratulations to Amanda Haynes, Shauna Peterson and Delia Grochowski.

Carcassonne – the cuisine and history

I would like to see Carcassonne featured in your magazine. I visited Carcassonne in 2010 after reading Kate Mosse’s time-slip novel, Labyrinth, taking in many of the sights mentioned in the novel. It was set in the 12th century at the time of the persecution of the Cathars when Carcassonne was a mighty fortress.

 Interiors in Castles

I would like to see the interiors of some of the castles in France for inspiration.  Amanda Haynes from Nowra NSW

Passionate about French Monogrammed Linen!

I would like to see a feature on gorgeous vintage French linens – tablecloths, tea towels, rustic “metis” sheets or ladder work fine bed linen with lace-edged pillowcases. What is the history of embroidering a monogram on these items…were they a dowry piece or a wedding gift…?
